Description:

Dorsal spines: 10-11;Dorsal rays: 14-16; Anal spines: 3; Anal rays: 11-13

Body blue to greenish dorsally, whitish ventrally. 2 yellow stripes run longitudinally. The upper dorsally from head to caudal peduncle. The lower from behind the upper 
edge of the eye to the length of the caudal peduncle. Finis white to pinkish. Axil of pectoral fins and tips of caudal-fin lobes black.


Size:

Maturity: Lm unknown. Range unknown. Max Length: 35cm TL


Habitat and Ecology:

Schooling species that occurs around coral reefs with a preference for clear waters (depth 1-30m). Feeds on zooplankton in midwater aggregations.


Fishery Status:

This species is not protected or subject to fishery regulations. It is caught in the mackerel net fishery.
